Hi Tracy,

Wanted to give you an update on Tate. He just had his 1 yr birthday and I attached a couple pics of how he is shaping up. He is a very handsome boy - though I may be biased. He is always full of kisses and mischief, although the mischief has become less destructive over time. He has given my 12yo BC Tucker a new lease on life. Tucker would never play with anyone, or with toys and now he and Tate have daily wrestling/chasing games. Tate manages to have fun with any available object. He prefers to play with toys by himself rather than retrieve things. He will roll on his back tossing the toy about, 'hide' a toy under a dog bed then pounce on it like a big cat, or (his favorite) drop a ball (or better a water bottle cap) into an empty bowl- push it around with his paw- then pick it up and drop in in the bowl again. He seems to like the noise it makes - but who knows what goes on in the mind of a border collie. He is very much a pup still although he is more careful in what he chooses to shred, he has learned what is and isn't a dog toy. If the toy cannot be destroyed it must make lots of noise or it isnt much fun! What a clown! He loves everyone and wants to be the center of attention as long as you don't try to cuddle him...he is far to busy to sit and cuddle.
Someday when he is not quite so busy I imagine he will be quite the cuddler.
