Swirl arived in the middle of the night as a
wary traveler, and settled in the next morning as an approving
family member, eager to make acquaintence and bonds with each
of the people in our family. For the life of me, and the rest
of her family, we can't decide what she is. She growls like a
bear, moves like a cat, bucks like a bull, and feels, loves, understands,
and communicates with far too many human attributes to be considered
a dog. I hope to use her "BC Querks" for the love of
life, hers, mine, and others'. Sad faces don't suit Swirl's environment,
and she's quick to fix the situation. Love is the only thing she's
capable of acting upon, or in the name of, and is all that I can
hope to bring in to her future that truelly means anything.

Hi Tracy,
Here are some almost 12week photos of Flair, she is doing great
and growing like crazy. She has learned and is in the process
of learning many things such as sit, stand, down, hand touches
just to name a few. Flair She has been an absolute joy so far,
we hope to compete in the future in agility, and as many other
fun things as possible.

Sammy is still the best dog. He is so handsome. His coat is phenomenal
-- long and soft and everyone remarks how good looking he is in
addition to a complete love bug. We are in agility and he is doing
FABULOUS. I am so surprised. He has taken to it and pulls me off
my seat waiting to go. He is just a little uneasy of the teeter-totter
but everything else is terrific. We haven't gotten to the weave
polls -- that will be in the advanced agility class.
Spoiled rotten of course.....had been sleeping in his crate at
night next to Mallory's bed. Now he's on her bed. He also loves
the snow and is a ball monger. He loves to play and fetch tennis
balls. We will take more pictures soon.

New Name: Blastoff Dixie
Just wanted to send you some pictures of Dixie,
sorry that it has taken me so long.
I want you to know how much of a joy that she is, she is so lovable
and affectionate. She is also absolutely crazy and over the top
at the same time.
She is such the opposite of our other Border Collie, Daisy. Daisy
wants to be outside and dirty swimming in the lake but not Dixie
she wants to be with us and would much rather stay clean and cool,
she is much more people oriented and she wants to be the center
of attention. These are our first two border collies and I am
not sure if it is just the difference in their personalities or
what but when playing with the ball, frisbee or whatever it may
be Dixie backs Daisy up and always lets her retrieve. She will
go after it but then she crouches down and stands back while Daisy
gets it. On the other hand if it is bounced first it's hers. If
the ball bounces high enough she will do a 360 before catching
it.

New Name: Blastoff Jett
Since we have gotten our new family member Jett,
we have been one busy happy family. Jett just finished puppy kindergarten
in which he passed with flying colors and learned come, loose
leash walking, hand targeting, "dance" which he spins
in a circle, along with many other tricks. In just a couple of
days he will be starting the Fun N Focus class, which is the pre-agility
games, where they teach the pups extreme focus and some other
challenging games untill they are old enough to start agility
training. So that is his next step towards agility. He comes to
work with me a few days a week, and everyone just LOVES him. People
give so many compliments on his coloring and his eyes. He has
also done doggy day care a few times when its too busy of a day
at work which he never wants to leave! He just went on his first
Sand Dune Trip which he got a kick out of playing frisbee in the
sand and wrestling with his best friend sophie (a golden retreiver
pup.) So far that is what Jett has experienced with us as his
new family. We look forward to many many more years to spend with
him!
